1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR


  1. Inspect upper level switch resistance.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      		Upper Level Switch

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      		Switch Condition
      		Specified Condition
      2 (E) - 3 (OILH)
      		Level switch on
      		Below 500 mΩ
      2 (E) - 3 (OILH)
      		Level switch off
      		1350 to 1650 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the engine oil level sensor.

  1. Inspect lower level switch resistance.

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      		Switch Condition
      		Specified Condition
      1 (LVL) - 2 (E)
      		Level switch on
      		Below 500 mΩ
      1 (LVL) - 2 (E)
      		Level switch off
      		1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the engine oil level sensor.
